After years of exploring various terroirs across Portugal, Tiago Teles returned to his roots in the Bairrada region. In 2012, he set out to fulfil his dream, and after a long search for the perfect vineyard, he and his father began cultivating small hillside plots in São Mateus.
For Tiago, the choice of grape variety has always been secondary — it should serve the wine, not dictate it. Guided by this philosophy, he vinifies the grapes using a low-intervention approach, opting for spontaneous fermentation and adding only minimal sulphur to preserve the wine's smooth texture and dynamic energy.
