Laherte Freres Rose de Saignee Les Beaudiers Extra Brut 2020

Les Beaudiers' Rosé de Saignée is a complex, perfectly structured rosé champagne that showcases the Pinot Meunier grape's complexity and versatility. It is made using vintages from old vines that were planted in the Le Baudier vineyard in 1953, 1958 and 1965. Traditional methods are used to cultivate the grapes, including short pruning of the vines to limit production and manual ploughing of the land. The expertise of Laertes Frères and the quality of the terroir give the Rosé de Saignee 'Le Baudier' its unique character. The grapes are harvested at full maturity, crushed and macerated for 14 hours. Alcoholic fermentation using only natural yeasts takes place in oak barrels. No malolactic fermentation is carried out. The wine matures for six months. Degorgement, or the removal of sediment from the neck of the bottle, is done manually.
